 Groundable Conductive Polypropylene Fabric
Conductive threads are woven throughout. | Wire mesh groundable strap is sewn into the bag. | |
In the conductive fabric, conductive threads are woven in to form a grid that surrounds the entire bulk bag. Typically, the conductive threads are grounded so charges don't accumulate but are conducted to the ground. The charge on the remaining insulating polypropylene fabric includes an opposite charge on the conductive thread, reducing the bulk bag's surface net charge. Depending on the bagged powder's conductivity, the conductive threads can also dissipate the powder's charge to ground.Bulk bags manufactured from conductive polypropylene fabric have grounding straps and must be grounded. An ungrounded conductive polypropylene fabric FIBC represents a real ignition risk.
